Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an Educational Support professional to provide guidance to students in the CARE Team and Learning Center programs. You will help students strengthen academic skills, set goals, and overcome barriers impacting progress.

Responsibilities include opening the Learning Center each day, coordinating tutoring activities, tracking attendance, and communicating with families to support student success.

Qualifications

• Previous teaching, tutoring, academic support, or related educational experience required.
• Knowledge of educational practices and experience in student-support environments.

Responsibilities

• Open and prepare the Learning Center each day to ensure a welcoming, organized environment.
• Monitor and document student attendance and communicate with parents/guardians.
• Meet with students to identify and address personal or academic concerns affecting progress.
• Assist with planning and implementing enrichment activities and tutoring programs.
• Maintain communication with parents/guardians and involve them in action plans.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized program areas and accurate program records.
