Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a Research Services Principal Professional in the Anesthesiology department to lead LC-MS/MS analytics for pre-clinical and clinical studies. You will develop and validate HPLC and LC-MS assays, guide study design, and support manuscript preparation.

You will provide informal leadership, mentoring, and ensure a GLP-compliant environment in a CAP-accredited and CLIA-certified laboratory at the Aurora, Colorado site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field.
• Three years professional level research experience.
• Substitution: education and related experience may substitute for degree on a year-for-year basis.
• Master's degree preferred: biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field.
• Four years of hands-on experience in a wet laboratory.
• Experience with HPLC and LC-MS is highly desirable.
• Experience in regulatory-compliant laboratory environments (cGLP/cGMP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and lead LC-MS/MS analytics for pre-clinical and clinical studies.
• Develop and validate HPLC and LC-MS assays.
• Provide laboratory science leadership in study design, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
• Independently review, develop, and implement new or modified laboratory techniques.
• Maintain a GLP-compliant laboratory environment.
• Serve as a resource to principal investigators and stakeholders.
• Provide informal leadership and mentoring to team members.
