Job Summary

iC42 Clinical Research & Development combines quantitative massspectrometry, metabolomics, and proteomics under one roof, a combination that makes it a unique facility and a CU Medicine site of clinical practice. As a Principal Professional, you will lead LC‑MS/MS analytics for pre‑clinical and clinical studies, including work that supports national multi‑center trials, in a laboratory that is cGLP‑compliant, CAP‑accredited, and CLIA‑certified.

Day to day, you will develop and validate HPLC and LC‑MS assays, guide study design and data analysis through manuscript preparation, and serve as a resource to principal investigators across a range of research disciplines. You will also provide informal leadership to team members, including workload guidance and mentoring.

Work Location

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field
  • Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
  • Three (3) years professional level research experience

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field
  • Four (4) years of experience in an experimental or wet laboratory
  • Four years of experience with High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), preferably with HPLC – massspectrometry
  • At least two (2) years of hands‑on experience working in a regulatory compliance‑compliant laboratory environment, ideally cGLP or cGMP.

Anticipated Pay Range

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $64,686 - $86,679.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
