Actalent in Madison, WI seeks an experienced LC-MS/MS scientist to independently set up and operate LC-MS systems, mentor junior staff, and communicate with clients. You will design experiments, develop LCMS methods, and ensure regulatory compliance across projects.

The role requires 5+ years LC-MS experience, advanced degree, and strong analytical chemistry background. This contract-to-hire position offers onsite work with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. with 2+ years of industry or Post Doc experience.
• 5+ years running LC-MS instrumentation.
• Analytical chemistry background.
• Large molecule experience. They will support large molecule study.
• Project Management skills- will oversee PK portfolio.
• Lead Scientist will oversee data quality and project management.

Responsibilities

• Independently sets up and operates LC-MS and automation instrumentation, including problem identification and resolution.
• Design and execute all phases of assigned projects including sample preparation, method development and qualification for LCMS, troubleshooting, data analysis and report generation.
• May serve as lead chemist on projects, overseeing a small group of technical staff, with minimal supervision.
• Help to design experiments, provide work instructions and technical training to junior staff.
• Be responsible for client communication related to study conduct.
• Writes, revises, and reviews SOPs and methods for regulatory compliance.
• Ensure timeline adherence and communicate status to management.
• Ensure compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Set up and change instrument configurations for various LCMS methods.
• Prepare data summaries for senior scientists for client updates.
• Act as a technical expert for process design and problem solving.
