Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a Lead Launch Vehicle Systems Engineer to serve as the technical interface to launch vehicle providers. Based near Cape Canaveral, FL and working remotely, you will own interface definitions, ICDs, and the integration of our spacecraft with multiple launch vehicles.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience integrating spacecraft with launch vehicles, can make real-time decisions in the field, and will lead spacecraft processing, verification, and campaign activities

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Mechanical/Systems Engineering or related field required.
8+ years of aerospace systems engineering experience, with at least 3 years in launch vehicle integration or launch site operations.

Responsibilities

Act as the lead technical interface between AST SpaceMobile and launch vehicle providers.
Lead spacecraft processing, integration, and encapsulation at the launch site.
Own and maintain ICDs and interface requirements between spacecraft and launch vehicles; manage changes.
Lead launch vehicle compatibility analyses and verification planning; ensure requirements flow down to spacecraft and ground design.
Provide go/no-go technical recommendations during launch readiness campaigns.
