AST SpaceMobile seeks a Lead Launch Vehicle Systems Engineer to serve as the primary technical interface to launch-vehicle providers. Based near Cape Canaveral, FL and working remotely, this role owns ICDs, spacecraft/launch-vehicle integration, and serves as AST's technical authority at the launch site through campaign execution and launch.

Qualifications

• Hands-on aerospace systems engineering experience.
• 8+ years in aerospace systems engineering.
• 3+ years in launch vehicle integration or launch-site operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical interface between AST and launch vehicle providers.
• “Technical authority” at launch site during campaign execution.
• Define and manage ICDs and interface requirements for spacecraft/launch vehicles.
• Coordinate analyses (mass, loads, environments, thermal, RF) for vehicle compatibility.
• Track launch-related requirements and verification plans, ensuring flow-down.
• Support provider evaluation and technical trade studies.
• Lead launch-readiness reviews and provide go/no-go recommendations.
