RIM Recruitment Professionals seeks a hands-on Machining Supervisor in Elmwood Park, IL to lead a team of machinists and CNC operators in a precision shop specializing in large, complex parts. The role requires direct machining experience with manual lathes, mills, boring mills, and CNC machines.

You will plan scheduling, optimize workflows, coach staff, enforce safety, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in a machine shop or large-part machining operation.
• Hands-on machining experience with manual lathes, mills, boring mills, and CNC equipment.
• Experience machining large, heavy, complex, or tight-tolerance parts.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and CAD models, interpret GD&T, and plan production.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and support daily work of machinists, CNC operators, and shop staff.
• Plan, prioritize, and schedule jobs to meet delivery commitments and maximize capacity.
• Develop methods for machine selection, workholding, tooling, setups, routing, and sequencing.
• Oversee machining of large, complex parts and ensure quality and schedule adherence.
• Provide hands-on setup support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
