Job summary

Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Villas is seeking a Landscape Manager to preserve and enhance outdoor spaces across its Texas Hill Country resort. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial landscaping or grounds maintenance.
• Experience managing commercial irrigation systems, including diagnostics and maintenance.
• Experience supervising landscape contractors and vendor relationships.
• Strong knowledge of irrigation components, controllers, valves, pumps, drainage, and water management.
• Ability to perform physical outdoor labor in varying weather.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Irrigation certification (IA, EPA WaterSense, or equivalent).
• Experience with budget management and contract administration.
• Knowledge of regional plant materials and turf management.
• Hospitality, resort, or large commercial property landscaping experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage all landscape maintenance operations to keep grounds safe, healthy, and visually exceptional.
• Oversee irrigation system troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and optimization.
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance plans for irrigation and landscape infrastructure.
• Lead by example through hands-on landscaping and irrigation work when needed.
• Serve as the primary contact for landscape contractors, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
• Review vendor scopes, proposals, invoices, and overall contract performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance landscape quality.
• Coordinate landscape projects involving multiple departments and vendors.
• Inspect landscaped areas to proactively identify irrigation issues and plant health concerns.
• Maintain records of repairs, maintenance schedules, vendor activity, and projects.
• Ensure compliance with water conservation regulations and safety policies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning for landscaping and irrigation.
