Job summary

Landscape Construction Group Ltd in the South of England seeks a Landscape Operative to assist with landscape construction projects, working safely and efficiently as part of a team.

You will help with planting, paving, soil preparation, and site maintenance, loading materials, and supporting skilled landscapers, with training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Position: Landscape Operative

Reports To: Lead Landscaper

Location: Various sites across the South of England with main office located in Basingstoke

Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent (subject to probation)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications.

[PAYE: Salary £27,000 - £32,000]

[CIS: £140 - £170 per day]

Role Overview

To assist with the delivery of landscape construction projects, working safely and efficiently as part of a team. They will assist skilled landscapers in carrying out soft and hard landscaping activities such as planting, paving and soil preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading materials
• Assisting with paving, edging and fencing installation
• Topsoil preparation and grading
• Planting, turfing and seeding
• Operating hand tools safely
• Maintaining clean and safe work areas
• Assisting plant operators and skilled landscapers

Health & Safety Responsibilities

Work in accordance with company Health & Safety policies. Follow company RAMS, PPE requirements and environmental procedures.

Essential Requirements

Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Be reliable and punctual. Must be physically fit and capable of outdoor work. Ability to work as part of a team. Right to work in the UK. Valid green CSCS Labourers card (ROLO). Full UK Driving License.

Desirable Qualifications

• First Aid training

• Previous landscaping or construction experience
