• Bachelor's degree in horticulture, landscape architecture, landscape management, turf management, or a related field.
• 5+ years’ experience managing commercial or institutional landscape construction and maintenance.
• Proven ability to lead landscape teams with an emphasis on quality, presentation, and accountability.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Customer service mindset with understanding of landscape quality impact on guest perception.
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others.
• Valid Michigan chauffeur’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and manage landscape and maintenance activities to align with appearance standards and seasonal goals.
• Inspect completed work for quality and visual impact, identifying refinements.
• Assign and oversee contractor and vendor work, ensuring design intent and standards.
• Provide on-site leadership to keep landscapes guest-ready.
• Identify improvements to planting design, turf quality, and site detailing.
• Research landscape practices and equipment for sustainability and durability.
• Oversee training related to new equipment or standards.
• Prepare cost analyses balancing budget and aesthetic value.
• Year-round duties including snow/ice management.
• Collaborate with internal departments to support programming and guest flow.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance within guest experience.
• Order and approve materials with long-term visual quality in mind.
• Supervise timekeeping, performance, training, and HR coordination.
