Job summary

Business Resources One in Detroit is seeking a Landscape Operations Manager to lead field teams, manage multiple landscape and hardscape projects, and ensure quality from start to finish.

Based in Metro Detroit, the role offers a stable, year-round environment with opportunities for advancement and strong collaboration with sales and office staff. You will also direct snow operations and manage weather-related responses.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years in landscaping, lawn care, hardscaping, and heavy equipment operation.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills to manage multiple crews and projects.
• Ability to interpret landscaping plans, layouts, and job scopes.
• Solid understanding of grading, drainage, planting, and general construction practices.
• Valid driver’s license; Chauffeur’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee multiple landscape and hardscape crews daily to ensure flawless execution and high-quality output.
• Coordinate project scheduling, equipment logistics, manpower, and material deliveries to maximize field efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Evaluate job progress, quality standards, and timelines through site visits and field management systems like Jobber and CompanyCam.
• Collaborate with sales teams, office staff, and suppliers to identify upsell opportunities, manage change orders, and mitigate field issues.
• Train, mentor, and hold field personnel accountable while ensuring all job sites remain clean, safe, and professional.
• Execute accurate administrative tracking for labor hours, project completion photos, and production goals.
• Drive winter operations by directing snow management protocols and emergency weather responses.
