Job summary

Bland Landscaping Company in Greensboro, NC is seeking a hands-on Landscape Enhancement Crew Leader to manage day-to-day contracted work on a jobsite. You will supervise crews, read plans, coordinate materials, and ensure safety and quality in installations, irrigation, and softscape projects.

Responsibilities include directing installation teams, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining equipment and paperwork.

Qualifications

• Must lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
• Must bend and stoop on a continual basis.
• Must work outside in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have valid NC driver’s license and maintain a good driving record (CDL preferred).
• Must be willing to obtain NC Pesticide applicators license.
• Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train installation crews on all aspects of installation services including promoting safety.
• Execute the contracted scope of installation projects.
• Read and execute job plans per specification for the contracted scope.
• Install plantings, lawns, irrigation, and hardscapes.
• Digging, tilling, planting, raking, watering, and clean-up of landscapes
• Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks.
• Schedule and monitor daily work assignments.
• Plan, coordinate, and collect equipment and materials each day.
• Perform and participate in crew and department general and safety meetings.
• Submit daily BOSS Mobile Timesheet
• Administrative Paperwork
• Truck and Trailer standardization and cleanliness
• Use of technology for communication
• Communicate daily with Production Manager on progress and planning.
