Job summary

Terra Dura Landscapes in Austin is seeking a Lead Landscape Designer & Sales to guide clients from inquiry to approved build plans. You will produce site-accurate 2D/3D renderings using native Central Texas plantings and eco-friendly features, balancing design with practical costs.

The role blends landscape architecture with client management, offering a base pay plus commission and a collaborative team culture. Experience with SketchUp/Lumion is preferred and field work is required.

Qualifications

• Landscape Architecture degree and/or 2 years experience in design.
• Proficiency with SketchUp, Lumion, and other rendering tools.
• Familiarity with bidding projects.
• Ability to work in the field (lift over 80 LBS frequently, dig holes, and move wheel barrows).
• An open mind and open heart.

Responsibilities

• Lead client relationships and sales leadership from inquiry to approved build plans.
• Create site-accurate 2D/3D renderings with native Central Texas plantings and eco-friendly features.
• Coordinate with production team for handoff from design to build.
• Manage design revisions with client feedback in structured phases.
• Prepare material takeoffs to support accurate project estimates and margins.
