Job summary

Cooper & Company, an Austin-based landscape architecture practice, seeks a Senior Landscape Architect to lead design development and produce high-quality drawings for sophisticated residential projects.

The candidate will drive conceptual design, site planning, planting strategies, and construction detailing while mentoring junior designers and communicating with clients. A licensure pathway in Texas is preferred, with a strong portfolio and deep material knowledge.

Qualifications

• A professional degree in landscape architecture.
• Professional licensure or the ability to obtain licensure in Texas.
• Approximately 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Exceptional hand-drawing, drafting, rendering, and graphic presentation skills.
• Sophisticated design eye with strong attention to scale, proportion, materials, and detail.
• Advanced proficiency in design and presentation software.
• Strong knowledge of planting design and landscape construction.
• Experience producing complete, coordinated drawing sets.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
• Experience with high-end residential work is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through conceptual design, schematic design, and design development.
• Produce compelling site plans, master plans, hand sketches, perspectives, and presentation drawings.
• Develop planting, hardscape, grading, drainage, lighting, and material designs.

Senior Landscape Architect

Cooper & Company is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect with exceptional design, drawing, and graphic communication skills.

We are an Austin-based landscape architecture company specializing in high-end residential design, construction, and maintenance. This is a design-focused studio position for someone capable of developing sophisticated concepts and communicating them through beautiful, highly resolved drawings and presentations.

Exceptional drawing ability is essential. Candidates must submit a portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual design, hand sketching, illustrative plans, renderings, planting design, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through conceptual design, schematic design, and design development
