Job summary

The Supervisor, Land Services leads Wabash Valley Power Alliance (WVPA) in acquiring land and right‑of‑way interests necessary for substation construction; transmission line construction, rebuild, and replacement; and other real estate needs related to WVPA’s business operations.

This role directs the land acquisition team, secures easements for transmission projects, acquires land for substations and other WVPA needs, and coordinates with Engineering and Legal to support projects and WVPA's

Qualifications

• Four-year degree required.
• Minimum five years land acquisition experience.
• Prior utility experience is preferred.
• Experience with easements and eminent domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Leads the land acquisition department personnel and roles & responsibilities.
• Secures easements for WVPA transmission line projects.
• Acquires land for substations and other WVPA needs.
• Subcontractor management: prescribing work and coordinating calls.
• Coordinates activities of the land acquisition team throughout project lifecycles.
• Collaborates with Engineering and Legal to secure land and right-of-way for projects and Members including eminent domain.
• Supports Marketing & Communications in outreach related to land acquisition.
