Job summary

Kier + Wright is seeking a Project Manager (Land Development) in Santa Clara, CA. You will lead projects from concept to construction, manage clients and the project team, and ensure deliverables meet expectations.

Responsibilities include planning, budgeting, scheduling, coordination with agencies, and mentoring junior staff. Requirements include a Civil Engineering degree, 5+ years in land development with PE or 8+ years without PE, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of land development experience with PE license OR 8+ years without PE license.
• Certifications such as QSP/QSD, PMP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management tasks including initiation, planning, budgeting, scheduling, and team coordination.
• Manage contracts, proposals, and monthly billing with clients and subconsultants.
• Ensure QA/QC, permitting, regulatory compliance, and risk management across phases.
• Prepare civil plans, exhibits, and CAD models, and support entitlements and permitting.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

Professional Engineering License (PE)

PMP certification
