Smithfield Foods is seeking a Land Application Crew Lead to supervise and coordinate lagoon effluent application, ensuring safe, compliant operations across the Crew. You will oversee daily tasks, monitor performance, and maintain equipment and records in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, relevant certifications, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors. Strong teamwork and communication are essential to success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• B level CAFO certification required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Wastewater certification preferred.
• Dependable with ability to work flexibly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the daily tasks of Land Application Crew with supervision.
• Operates equipment per SOPs and regulations; maintains records.
• Reviews field notebooks and updates maps daily.
• Demonstrates safety, teamwork and accountability at all times.
• Responds quickly to issues to minimize risk and liability.
• Provides information for reports as required.
• Supervises multiple full-time associates and conducts training.
• Complies with EMS, IPS and Animal Well Being Policies.
