Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking an LNM Technician to manage crop operations and nutrient application across designated farmland in a sustainable, safety-conscious manner. You will help uphold farm appearance and stewardship as part of the Hog Production Division.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, fieldwork, driving tractors, daily rainfall readings, spill recovery, and achieving state spray applicator certification within one year. On-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and speak English.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and operate in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance including crawling under equipment or lying on the ground.
• Weed eating, spraying, side mowing, bush hogging, discing fields; record keeping.
• Moving reels, pivots, pumps, or other equipment; driving tractor/mowers.
• Comply with Safety, Bio-Security and Environmental rules.
