Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Land Application Crew Lead to safely apply lagoon effluent and manage the Land Application Crew in the field. You will oversee daily activities, coordinate tasks, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

As a lead, you will perform equipment maintenance, conduct lagoon and soil testing, and document results while upholding Smithfield's core values and policies. This role requires strong teamwork and communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• B level CAFO certification required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Wastewater certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinat es efforts of Land Application Crew and supervise daily activities.
• Operate application equipment per SOPs and regulations.
• Perform maintenance on equipment and conduct lagoon/soil/storm water tests.
• Ensure timely documentation of work orders and reports.
• Promote safety, biosecurity, and adherence to EMS and animal well-being policies.
