Job summary

The Woman’s Hospital of Texas is hiring a Supervisor Laboratory to oversee daily laboratory operations under the Laboratory Director and Manager. You will ensure prompt, accurate testing, maintain compliance with JCAHO and CAP standards, and promote patient safety and quality of care in a busy hospital setting.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of generalist clinical lab experience, 1 year in Histology and Cytology, and MT/ASCP or MLT/ASCP certification, with a passion for improving patient

Qualifications

• Degreed Medical Technologist/Technician with MT/ASCP or MLT/ASCP certification.
• Five continuous years of generalist clinical laboratory experience.
• At least 1 year in Histology and Cytology.
• Certification recognized by CLIA, CAP and JCAHO.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities to ensure work is performed promptly, efficiently and accurately.
• Review, write and update technical procedure manuals.
• Assist in data collection for statistical surveys or other reports generated by the Department.
• Ensure staff competencies are performed annually.
• Requires no supervision for processing specimens, performing testing, or reporting results.
