Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center is seeking a Supervisor Lab to lead daily laboratory operations in Houston. You will oversee testing, staff competency, and compliance with accreditation standards, while driving quality and efficiency across the department.

The role requires a licensed Medical Technologist/Technician with MT/ASCP or MLT/ASCP certification, plus five years of generalist lab experience and at least one year in Histology/Cytology.

Qualifications

• Five continuous years of generalist clinical laboratory experience.
• 1 year of Histology and Cytology experience REQUIRED.
• Certification recognized by CLIA, CAP and JCAHO is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily laboratory activities to ensure prompt, efficient, and accurate work.
• Review and update technical procedure manuals.
• Ensure staff competencies are performed annually.
• Perform routine to specialized laboratory testing with accuracy.
• Participate in quality control and proficiency testing per CAP.
