Job summary

Wawa, Inc. in Corporate location is seeking a WBC Lead Laboratory Analyst to lead the quality control lab, train new hires, and supervise interns, ensuring test accuracy and data integrity.

The role supports GMP, HACCP, SQF programs, maintains the laboratory information system, reviews SOPs, conducts audits, and coordinates calibration and maintenance of lab equipment. A Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry or food science and 3–5 years in a dairy/food QC lab are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a quality control laboratory in the food industry, dairy preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and SOPs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead laboratory team and provide hands-on training to new hires and interns.
  • Ensure GMP, HACCP, SQF and GLP compliance and data integrity across all tests.
  • Manage calibration and maintenance schedule for lab equipment; coordinate with vendors.
  • Oversee QA data from the LIMS and generate routine reports for QA leadership.
  • Maintain regulatory records and participate in internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate documentation for SQF and regulatory compliance programs.
