Responsibilities

• Oversees workflow of lab aides and ensures standardization of processes.
• Responsible for billing reference lab and miscellaneous tests and managing assigned work queues.
• Scans reports into the patient medical record as needed.
• Ensures adherence to turnaround time standards and maintains specimen quality by staff.
• Manages orientation and training of staff and maintains staff competency.
• Responsible for monthly staff scheduling as needed.
• Performs essential functions of lab aide II and assists staff as necessary.
• Communicates with other health care departments using AIDET as needed.
• Troubleshoots and resolves workload queue issues.
• Ensures maintenance and quality checks are performed appropriately.
• Other related duties as assigned.
