Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ seeks an experienced Lead Engineering Technician to lead lab activities and support engineering projects. The role operates onsite with no relocation offered, performing complex tasks in Chemistry and Metallography laboratories.

Responsibilities include coordinating workload, conducting viscosity/ICP/titrations/UV-Vis analyses, and collaborating with engineers to meet requirements, while ensuring safe lab practices and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in a laboratory with analytical instruments.
• Wet chemistry background including titrations, ICP, viscosity, FTIR, UV-Vis.
• Metallography experience with grinding, polishing, etching, microstructure analysis; SEM.
• Ability to interface with engineers and understand work requirements.
• Familiarity with chemical handling, storage and safety procedures; proper disposal of hazardous materials.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and clear verbal/written communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead workload distribution and execute tasks in Chemistry and Metallography labs (Viscosity, ICP, Titrations, UV-Vis, SEM).
• Perform Metallography, microstructure analysis, and hardness testing.
• Collaborate with engineers to understand requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Develop and implement work procedures and best practices.
• Document findings clearly in written reports and communicate technical concepts effectively.
