Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace seeks a Lead Engineering Technician in Phoenix, AZ to lead technical activities and support engineering projects on an onsite basis. The role emphasizes following procedures, using lab equipment, and performing complex tasks with some independence.

The candidate will manage workload distribution in chemistry and metallography labs, contribute to process improvements, and collaborate with engineers to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with analytical instruments in a laboratory setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
• Wet Chemistry, Metallography and SEM experience preferred.
• Familiarity with chemical handling, safety and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Manage workload distribution and perform tasks related to Viscosity, ICP, Titrations and UV-Vis in Chemistry lab.
• Conduct Metallography, SEM and hardness testing to analyze alloy microstructure.
• Assist Engineers with day-to-day tasks and develop/work on procedures.
• Interface with engineering to understand requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Clearly articulate technical concepts in verbal and written form.
• Maintain accurate records and follow safety and compliance practices.
