Prime Healthcare is seeking a qualified General Lab professional at Olympia Fields Hospital in Illinois. This full-time role covers a broad range of lab procedures across multiple disciplines, with potential lead responsibilities and LIS/POC duties.

Qualifikationen

• ASCP certification preferred
• Minimum two years hospital laboratory work experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological health science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution
• Current and Valid State License if required

Aufgaben

• Adhere to laboratory procedures for collection, processing, analysis and reporting of patient test results
• Follow quality control policies and document corrective actions
• Identify problems affecting test performance and notify supervisor or Medical Director
• Perform manual and automated tests across multiple disciplines (Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, Immunology)
• Maintain instruments and equipment as needed
• Review accuracy of patient results prior to reporting
• Recognize age-specific differences in test results
• Possibly perform venipuncture or capillary puncture across age groups
• Assist in development and maintenance of lab policies and procedures
• Adhere to safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, HR policies
• May be Lead Tech in supervisor’s absence
• May have responsibilities related to LIS/POC
• Other tasks as assigned by department manager/director

Ausbildung

ASCP certification, or equivalent preferred.

Two years hospital laboratory work experience

Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological health science or MLT

Current and Valid State License if required
