An established healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomy Supervisor to lead specimen collection and processing services. JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for overseeing phlebotomy and specimen processing services. Acts as the technical expert in phlebotomy and specimen collection. Coordinates activities of phlebotomy and lab assistants to ensure timely, safe, and efficient specimen collection and processing according to established protocols.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School diploma or GED.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
At least two (2) years of experience in phlebotomy, laboratory processing, or as a lab assistant.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of venipuncture and phlebotomy required. Certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA, or an equivalent agency is preferred. Experience working in a hospital setting is also preferred.
