Zusammenfassung

St. Vincent de Paul CARES seeks a Sous Chef to assist the Executive Chef in managing day-to-day operations of the Food Center, which serves three free meals daily, year-round, and caters for the Center of Hope.

You will supervise kitchen staff, develop menus, ensure safety standards, and coordinate with donors and volunteers to maintain stocked pantries and efficient meal preparation.

Qualifikationen

• English language proficiency required.
• High school diploma or GED with basic culinary training.
• 2–3 years experience in a restaurant, catering service, or institution.

Aufgaben

• Supervise Food Center personnel and train in food prep and service.
• Assist Executive Chef in menu development and purchasing.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local food-safety standards.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations and meal service to clients.
• Manage inventory, food donations, and staff scheduling.
• Support in daily cleanup and maintaining a safe kitchen environment.
