Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field with 1–3 years of child welfare experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree with 3–5 years of child welfare experience.
• Internal candidates with 3+ years ASCI experience and a Bachelor’s degree may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Kinship Navigator staff to ensure a kinship-focused placement process.
• Review all Kinship Navigator documentation for completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Allegheny County Children, Youth and Families (ACCYF) staff and leadership to strengthen processes and remove barriers.
• Collaborate with the child welfare triad on client-specific issues including emergencies.
• Facilitate Kinship Navigator trainings and support staff development.
• Prepare written reports and compile monthly statistics for leadership.
• Track Kinship Navigator referrals in ACCYF KIDS system and ensure accurate data entry.
• Ensure data is entered into the ASCI Kinship Navigator system and maintained.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing staff support.
• Ensure adherence to agency policies, timelines, and DPW regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
