Job summary

Cornerstones of Care is seeking a Lead Kinship Family Advocate to join our Kinship Family Development team. The role involves managing a caseload of up to 15 families, providing placement support in kinship homes, and coaching staff.

The position is four days in the office and one day from home, with after-hours accessibility. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree, Kansas licensure preferred, and be prepared to lead training, conduct reviews, and collaborate with community partners to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, criminal justice, or other human services field is required; Master's degree preferred.
• Licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board to practice in Kansas, preferred.
• At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license and proof of current vehicle insurance, with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Carry a Kinship Family Advocate caseload of up to 15 families.
• Provide placement support in relative and kin homes through in-home contacts.
• Be accessible by phone after hours, on holidays, and weekends.
• Mentor and coach Kinship Advocates and assist with training and onboarding.
• Review documentation to ensure contractual requirements are met.

Education

Bachelor's degree in social work, criminal justice, or other human services related field
