Job summary

The Department of Juvenile Justice invites applications for the Senior Juvenile Probation Officer position in Jacksonville. This internal agency opportunity is for current DJJ employees only.

The role focuses on supervising staff, coordinating case management, and delivering rehabilitation services to youth on probation or in custody. Responsibilities include court appearances, risk assessments, referrals, and developing case plans to support education, employment and reintegration.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience working directly with adolescents in criminal justice or social services.
• Preference given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree or higher; an associate degree with 2 years’ experience is also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Case management, referrals, and assessment of youth.
• Court process participation and advocacy for Department recommendations.
• Supervision of staff and coordination of service delivery.
