Job summary

Qualifications

• Four years of experience directly with adolescents in criminal justice, social services, or education.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or higher; or an associate degree with two years’ relevant experience.
• Certification as a Florida Juvenile Probation Officer may be required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate contact with youth, family, victims, and law enforcement on referrals.
• Review collateral information and conduct FDJJ screenings to assess risk and needs.
• Develop case management strategies and provide service referrals.
• Serve as DJJ representative in court hearings and prepare related documents.
• Maintain social histories, court reports, and affidavits; testify when required.
• Coordinate transition planning and post-release services for youth.
