Job summary

The Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking a Senior Juvenile Probation Officer in Florida to manage cases, conduct assessments, and coordinate services for youth and families. The role requires court liaison duties and documenting proceedings.

Candidates should have at least four years of experience with adolescents, a valid driver’s license, and CPR/First Aid certifications. This is an on-site position located in Alachua, FL, with veterans’ preference support.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform case management, referrals, and assessment for youth.
• Engage youth and families using motivational interviewing techniques.
• Prepare court-related documents and testify when required.
• Coordinate services with community providers and ensure follow-up.
• Maintain JJIS records and conduct risk/needs assessments.
