Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Extensive experience in design and development of scalable and performant microservices in java/spring/jpa.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Demonstrated experience leading effective use of AI-assisted software development tools with validation.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, and secure practices.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to tackle non-routine problems.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews/debugs others' code.
• Drives team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality, speed, and operations.
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve value and automation.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation for better stability of software systems.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architecture and credentials.
• Leads communities of practice to promote new technologies and best practices.
