Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in the Digital Utilities team is seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Java/Microservices/AWS/AI to push the limits of trusted, scalable technology products in a secure environment.

As a core technical contributor, you will deliver production-grade code, guide AI-assisted engineering practices, shape system design, and collaborate with agile teams across multiple business functions to meet the firm’s objectives.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operation stability.
Advanced in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, API, Kafka, Cassandra, AWS, and AI.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools with code reviews and testing.
Strong understanding of secure, compliant AI use in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions and troubleshoots complex problems.
Develops secure, production-grade code and reviews peers' code.
Leads AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and delivery speed.
Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to automate and enhance value.
Identifies opportunities to automate recurring issues for stability.
Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architecture.
