JPMorganChase, a global financial leader, seeks a Lead Software Engineer to advance trusted, scalable digital identity technology within the Commercial & Investment Banking division. You will join an agile team, contribute as a core technical expert, and drive secure, production-grade solutions across multiple domains.

You will lead AI-assisted engineering practices, ensure secure coding and testing, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to shape enterprise architecture and resilience.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
• Knowledge of AWS/Kubernetes.
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s).
• Demonstrated experience leading effective use of AI-assisted software development tools with validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
• Advanced understanding of CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Practical cloud native experience.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or breakdown technical problems
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools and AI-assisted development and automation capabilities to improve value realized by automation
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive design validation and applicability within existing systems
