We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to support web-based application development in a USPS environment. The resource will provide hands‑on engineering across the full SDLC, applying modern Spring Boot development practices and DevSecOps delivery using Jenkins/GitLab CI/CD, with database change management via Flyway. Preferred Skills:

• Strong experience with:
• Spring Boot (building services, configuration, profiles, security patterns)
• REST APIs and service integration
• Relational databases and SQL
• Flyway for database migration/version control
• Jenkins and/or GitLab for CI/CD
• Proven DevSecOps experience, including automated build/test/deploy and secure coding practices.
• Experience supporting applications in production, including incident support and operational stability.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills and ability to work independently on complex initiatives.
• 10 years of development hands on experience
• Experience with AI-enabled application features or integrating AI services/APIs in an enterprise setting.
• Experience with COTS integration and enterprise modernization efforts.
• Experience in regulated environments (government/federal) with security/compliance constraints.
• Familiarity with containerization and cloud-ready deployment patterns (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.

Educational Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Will consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education. Candidates who have completed a Master's degree program are strongly preferred.

The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.

The estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:

In CA/ WA/NY/CO/MD/IL/MN/NJ:$94,000 to $131,600. In Washington, DC: $85,700 to 124,600.
