Job summary

Infosys Public Services is seeking a Lead Java Developer to join our team in a senior capacity. The role focuses on delivering secure, scalable web applications using Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and DevSecOps practices within a USPS environment.

You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / GitLab), integrate security checks, and manage database migrations with Flyway, while exploring AI-enabled features and ensuring compliance with governance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent is required; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of development hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java web applications using Spring Boot.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs (and SOAP where needed).
• Apply DevSecOps practices throughout delivery with CI/CD pipelines.
• Build/maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitLab.
• Implement automated testing and security checks in pipelines.
• Manage database changes with Flyway; handle migrations and rollbacks.
• Troubleshoot production issues; optimize performance and reliability.
• Coordinate with security, operations, and architecture teams.
