Job summary

Infosys Public Services is seeking a Full stack Java Developer to join our team. The role involves building robust Java-based applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to migration efforts that touch mainframe integrations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Java development, strong Spring/J2EE expertise, REST API production experience, and familiarity with modern front-end tech as well as CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in Java development and 3 years of full-stack experience.
• Experience with Oracle DB query development (Hibernate in Spring).
• Experience with test automation in unit, functional, regression and performance tests.

Infosys Public Services is seeking a Full stack Java Developer to join our team.

Job Description

• Minimum of 5 years in Java development and 3 years of fullstack expereience.
• Experience in JAVA application development, web application, batch applications and support is required.
• Experience with Oracle DB query development (including Hibernate in Spring Framework).
• Experience with test automation in unit tests, functional tests, regression tests and performance tests
• Experience with implementing in Playwright and CICD with Jenkins
• Experience with Version One and Agile development.

Required Skills

• Must be expert in java, especially J2EE, and Spring Framework.
• Must be expert in RESTFul API development
• Must be expert in web page development, including Struts, JSP, HTML, JQUERY, CSS, JSON etc.
• Must be experienced with Kubernates, micro-services, event-driven application with Kafka.
• Knowledge of best practices in Version Controls (especially GIT).
• Understanding of new technologies in order to assist with migration.
• Advanced AI Tooling experience, specifically Github Copilot.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, especially for collaborating on mainframe integration with Java developers and migration planning.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a focus on quality and attention to detail.

Educational Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Will consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education. Candidates who have completed a Master's degree program are strongly preferred.

The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.

The estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:

In CA/ WA/NY/CO/MD/IL/MN/NJ: $73,000 to $102,200

In Washington, DC: $66,100 to $100,200
