JPMorgan Chase in Seattle is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to design, develop, and troubleshoot secure software components within the Merchant and Fraud Prevention team. You will contribute to scalable technology solutions across data pipelines and backend services.

You will work in an agile environment, applying SDLC best practices, and responsibly use AI-assisted coding tools to improve quality while maintaining security standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience building production data or streaming systems
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python for backend and data processing
• Experience with SDLC and agile practices
• Experience with enterprise-grade tooling and large codebases
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices

Responsibilities

• Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting
• Writes secure, high-quality code with limited guidance
