Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to lead an agile team building data-centric, low-latency distributed applications and robust APIs powering trusted, market-leading products.

You will drive end-to-end technical solutions across multiple domains, ensuring platforms are secure, stable, scalable, and aligned to the firm's business objectives. Experience with Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Kafka is required, with a focus on responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages: Java.
• Experience with secure, scalable, resilient software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Kafka.
• Experience leading use of AI-assisted software development tools with validation of outputs.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions and designs, solving complex problems beyond routine approaches.
• Develops secure, production-grade code and reviews code written by others.
• Drives adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality, speed, and operations.
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams on architectural designs and applicability.
