Job summary

Tessera is hiring a Lead Janitor to oversee the janitorial team at our Auburn, WA Aerospace facility. This hands-on role includes coaching, scheduling, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety in all areas of the site.

The position is part-time, non-exempt, with wages in the $22.00–$26.00 per hour range. Benefits include healthcare eligibility, pro-rated paid time off, holidays, tuition support, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous Janitorial experience is required.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be patient, supportive, and mission-aligned toward working with individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Support: supervise janitorial staff and provide on-site training.
• Quality Assurance: ensure cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Restroom Sanitation: clean toilets, sinks, and fixtures.
• Office & Facility Cleaning: sweep, mop, vacuum, and trash removal.
• Lunchroom & Breakroom Cleaning: sanitize tables and kitchen areas.
• Waste & Recycling Management: manage disposal and recycling protocols.
• Safety & Compliance: promote safety and report hazards.
• All Other Duties as Assigned.
