Job summary

GDI, Inc. is seeking a on-site Janitorial Supervisor in the United States to oversee daily cleaning tasks and train staff to meet quality expectations. You will ensure safety compliance and respond to customer needs while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Working schedule is Monday-Friday 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM; the role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage employee relations and performance issues efficiently.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of janitorial supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to show judgment and to lead the team.
• High integrity required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train the janitorial staff in the building.
• Designate shift and area work assignments.
• Manage employee relations or performance issues; document and report to management or HR.
• Inspect the jobsite to identify quality concerns or project work.
• Identify and communicate needs for special project work to management.
• Operate floor cleaning equipment as needed.
• Respond to customer concerns or complaints.
• Enforce safety policies and report accidents.
• Complete required training courses.
• Clean restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, dusting and trash removal.
• Sweep, mop and vacuum.
• Perform advanced floor care as needed.

Summary:

Oversee, train, and direct the janitorial staff on site to ensure that all employees are kept safe, and the customer’s quality expectations are met or exceeded. You will also be responsible for participating in daily cleaning tasks as required.

Working Schedule:

Monday- Friday @3:30PM - 11:30PM

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supervise and train the work of the janitorial staff in the building.
• Designate shift and area work assignments.
• Manage and employee relations or performance issues quickly and appropriately. Document and report to management or HR.
• Inspect the jobsite regularly to identify any quality concerns or project work needed.
• Identify and communicate the need for any special project work to management.
• Use floor cleaning equipment as needed (i.e. buffer, walk behind, spot-carpet cleaner).
• Respond quickly and appropriately to all customer concerns or complaints.
• Enforce all safety policies and procedures; immediately report and investigate accidents.
• Complete training courses as required.
• Cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, dusting and trash removal.
• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.
• Advanced floor care work as needed.
