Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced IVA Spacesuit Project Manager to lead development, integration, testing, and certification of spacesuit systems for human-rated spacecraft. You will oversee diverse engineering teams and ensure schedule, budget, and technical performance; experience with human spaceflight programs is highly valued.

The role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication with customers and partners, and the ability to coordinate across IPTs, suppliers, and government

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5–10 years of related experience.
• Experience leading complex aerospace development programs.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience integrating spacesuit systems with crewed spacecraft.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead IVA spacesuit development from concept to certification and production.
• Manage scope, cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk across workstreams.
• Direct multidisciplinary engineering teams across systems, mechanics, electronics, and software.
• Coordinate integration between IVA spacesuits and spacecraft systems and crew interfaces.
• Present status to executive leadership and customers; drive continuous improvement.
