Job summary

CPS Energy is seeking an IT Compliance & Controls Analyst 3 in San Antonio to lead ITGC testing, support audits, and identify/close control gaps. You will collaborate with auditors and IT teams to design robust controls and track remediation across projects.

Ideal candidates have strong IT governance experience, relevant certifications, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to leadership. Hybrid work and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience in IT compliance, IT audit, or ITGC testing.
• Strong understanding of IT control frameworks and audit methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to identify control gaps and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, including presenting to management and auditors.
• Strong organizational and project coordination abilities.
• Professional certifications (CISA, CISSP, ITIL, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead ITGC testing activities and ensure high-quality documentation.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external auditors.
• Identify control gaps and collaborate with IT teams to design and implement new or improved controls.
• Lead remediation tracking, ensuring timely and effective resolution of findings.
• Conduct in-depth quality assurance reviews of IT processes and controls.
• Prepare executive-ready reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts.
• Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and assess impacts on IT controls.
