Job summary

VC5 Consulting is seeking an IT SOX Analyst to support the SOX compliance program by executing IT General Controls (ITGCs) and assisting in control documentation and testing. The role requires collaboration with Internal Audit, External Audit, IT, Information Security, and business stakeholders to uphold effective controls.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a regulated IT setting, strong SOX knowledge, and experience in control testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in public accounting, application security, access management, or regulated IT.
• Experience supporting SOX compliance programs and IT controls.
• Working knowledge of SOX requirements, IT controls, and risk management principles.
• Familiarity with COSO, COBIT, NIST, or HITRUST frameworks.

In this hands-on IT compliance role, the IT SOX Analyst will support the company's Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program by executing and monitoring IT General Controls (ITGCs) and assisting in control documentation and testing activities. The analyst will collaborate closely with Internal Audit, External Audit, IT, Information Security, and business stakeholders to ensure compliance initiatives are effectively met and control improvements are continuously pursued. This position is essential in maintaining the integrity of the company's compliance efforts and ensuring that controls operate effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and monitor IT General Controls (ITGCs) to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
• Support IT-related business process controls by collaborating with various stakeholders.
• Assist in the documentation and testing of controls to ensure they are operating effectively.
• Partner with Internal Audit and External Audit teams to facilitate compliance initiatives.
• Contribute to continuous control improvement efforts to enhance overall compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting, application security, access management, or industry IT experience in a regulated environment.
• Demonstrated experience supporting SOX compliance programs and IT controls.
• Working knowledge of SOX compliance requirements, IT controls, and risk management principles.
• Familiarity with industry frameworks such as COSO, COBIT, NIST, or HITRUST.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.
