The Lead IT Technician is the first line of contact and liaison for user departments. Maintains high level knowledge of computer operations and equipment; maintains inventory tracking system for hardware/software; understands general information system theories. Resolves daily IT operational and maintenance issues. Monitors and controls computerized systems including personal computers; installs and maintains hardware and software configurations in user departments; reports network and system problems; performs related work as required.
Prefer two to three years experience in Information Technology with experience in hardware maintenance, software installations, and maintenance of local area networks or other computer related hardware/peripherals. Experience preferred with keyboards, printers, computer drives, shredder, copier, telephone system, PCs, hubs, PC network, computer cards and writing, modems, scanners, digital camera, multimedia projector.
