Job summary

Lumen is seeking a highly technical Linux systems engineer to lead and participate in enterprise-scale system integration across design, analysis, testing, and production deployment.

You will monitor incidents, deploy and administer systems in Google Cloud and AWS, and support Kubernetes clusters while advancing automation with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Travel for on-site work and collaboration across teams is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Linux systems engineering experience (Redhat, CentOS, Rocky).
• 3+ years Kubernetes experience including helm charts and deployment.
• 3+ years with Google Cloud Platform or AWS.
• 5+ years Elasticsearch experience (indexing, clustering, troubleshooting).
• 5+ years automation with Ansible, Puppet or Chef.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in system integration across design, analysis, testing and deployment.
• Monitor, analyze and resolve incidents for infrastructure in Google Cloud and AWS.
• Deploy, configure and administer systems in GCP and AWS.
• Support and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and containers.
• Develop and execute test plans and enable production transition.
