Job summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a production control leader to manage a functional team responsible for integration, scheduling, monitoring, and output control in a 24x7 data center environment. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Five years of experience in a technology production control operations center role, including technical support of IT systems.
• Advanced-level knowledge of client/server, voice and data network, mainframe z/OS operating system and subsystems, applications environments, automated scheduling software and monitoring systems.
• Experience in risk and production management in the operations environment.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• Superior organizational skills and excellent communication abilities.
• Ability to lead the work of others.
• Proven ability to identify conflicts and facilitate resolution.
• Availability to work any shift including holidays in a 24 x 7 x 365 work environment.

Responsibilities

• Leads a functional team by directing day-to-day activities and providing technical leadership, guidance, training, and recommendations.
• Plans, prioritizes, and manages the work of the functional group; leads projects and initiatives.
• Monitors and manages complex scheduling; troubleshoots batch processing jobs across platforms.
• Investigates and works with support staff to resolve error conditions; implements automation solutions.
• Develops and maintains operational documentation and procedures.
• Owns unresolved issues and drives them to resolution with tiered problem recognition.
• Performs quality assurance and SLA-driven service delivery with internal/external partners.
• Drives process improvements and follows SDLC for operations support.
• Performs additional responsibilities as requested.
