Job summary
Terrestris is seeking an IT Field Support Lead to manage the IRS desktop and endpoint technology at IRS Headquarters in Washington, DC. You will lead on-site support for HQ executives, troubleshoot hardware and software, install and upgrade equipment, and respond to outages while documenting processes and contributing to mobility initiatives.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years in enterprise desktop support or field services, at least 2 years in a lead role, Windows environment expertise, and
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of enterprise desktop support or field-services experience.
- At least 2 years in a team lead or supervisory role.
- Experience with Windows OS deployments and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps and basic network config.
- Strong ticketing system experience and ITIL/industry certifications.
Responsibilities
- Oversee on-site endpoint-management and user support for HQ/Field Office.
- Provide daily hands-on IT support at IRS Headquarters, including executives.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software, deployments, outages, and incidents.
- Create/maintain technical docs and self-help materials.
- Support mobility initiatives and modern tech like AI/chatbots.
- Coordinate/escalate issues through government tiered support structure.
